Sam Bukenya International
Community Development Foundation Sam Bukenya, Executive Director of INCODEFO, Uganda, joined the Bouddi Voice Choir for a term, twice in the last two years. Sam's work helps ensure that the 456 orphans in the care of his organisation are educated, clothed, fed and housed, and have hope for the future. The choir's performance at St Joseph's Chapel in November 2006 was in aid of Sam's work. All profits from the choir's "Music at the Movies" night on 28 June 2007 will support the work of INCODEFO, which not only assists orphans to gain an education, but also to build sustainable businesses and to gain employment. Many of the orphans are involved in a Music, Dance and Drama Group, and go out to other schools and community activities to educate through music dance and drama about prevention of killer diseases such as HIV/AIDS, cholera, and typhoid. Funds from the "Music at the Movies" performance went towards funding an Internet Cafe in Kampala, to ensure an income to help sustain the work of INCODEFO. |
